loop is here to provide some help for people that don't have much experience (and don't need to become experts) and guide them through their projects. The idea for loop was born out of frustration with seeing clients struggle to explain what they want on large commercial projects to define what they want and for the designers and builders to explain what was possible.

This information is critical for both deciding what to build and making decisions during the project, but too often we don't think through the project before we start and, so, we don't get the benefits we want.  This problem is replicated, on a smaller scale across home renovation projects, from the smallest projects to full house rebuilds. 
 

Construction is generally considered to be a linear process, design -> build -> use, and for most people this is all it needs to be. However, anyone who has worked in or with the industry will recognise that we still have a lot to learn. There are often discussions about what went wrong on a project or what needs to change in the industry but these rarely lead to action (often because the root cause isn't understood, no one tells the people doing the next project, or it will cost money). As more people use the website, create briefs, and ask questions we will be able to respond and improve the help we give so that we can all learn, and close the loop.
